F908  How What Where and Why to Recycle in Fairfax County

Fairfax County Solid Waste Management Program staff will deliver an overview on how our waste management system works, as well as provide details on what can and cannot be recycled curbside, what the recycling process looks like, why and how it’s important to recycle, and how we can support the county’s recycling goals.
Charlie Forbes is the chief of Outreach, Compliance & Planning, Solid Waste Management Program, Department of Public Works and Environmental Services, Fairfax County. Charlie has over four decades experience in solid waste management, including in Fairfax County, Virginia, New York, and abroad.
