Enjoy a discussion about the ongoing excavations of the town of Colchester, VA, and related sites on the Old Colchester Park and Preserve in Lorton. The sites include a house and probable slave quarters outside the town limits and several cellars and trenches inside the town boundaries. All sites date from approximately 1750–1800. The class will cover the artifacts, the historical landscape, and what we are learning about life in 18th century Fairfax.
