Local poet Sherri Wass Shunfenthal will speak about the process of writing poetry, how ideas begin, and what makes poetry special. She will read some of her own poetry, answer questions, and talk about spiritual poetry. Her books will be available for purchase.
Sherri W. Shunfenthal is a northern Virginia writer and poet. She has combined her love of language, people, and poetry to form Poetry Partners, interactive poetry workshops for children ages 4 to 90. She has published three books of poetry and has had numerous poems published in various anthologies. She has also collaborated using poetry combined with visual artists and dancers.
