F408 Summer 2018 Let's Read a Play Together: Red, White and Tuna
Wednesday, 9:40–11:05, June 27
Instructor: Doris Bloch
Class limit: 25
The course objective is to read a play and enjoy doing it in a group setting. During this class, we will read "Red, White and Tuna," a broad comedy set in Tuna, Texas. Warning: do not sign up if you are easily offended, as sexism, red-neck-ism and so on are part of the entertainment. We will take turns reading the parts aloud. Interspersed with the reading we will watch video clips of various scenes as performed by the original actors and others. Participants will be notified after registration where to obtain the script.
Doris Bloch is a member of OLLI and a former co-chair of the Literature, Language, and Theater Program Planning Group. She has often coordinated “Let’s Read a Play Together” classes for OLLI.
