One session
Instructor: Ed Linz
Thursday, 11:50—1:15, Mar. 26

The instructor will discuss current heart transplantation eligibility criteria and why he became eligible in 1994. What happens during a heart transplantation operation? What outcomes can be expected? What are post-transplant challenges? Is immunosuppression a problem? Does having a new heart create changes in the recipient? What lifestyle can one expect with a transplanted heart? Can you have interactions with your donor family? These topics and several others will be covered in an open discussion format.
