201Z Economic Current Events and Their Effect on You

This course will analyze the possible economic impacts of the recent legislation enacted by Congress. The topics covered in this course will include: taxes, Social Security and Medicare, tariffs and international trade, and the differing estimates of the effect of the legislation of future federal debt. Students will have the opportunity to suggest other topics that may be of interest to them.
Elliott Dubin was the director of Policy Research at the Multistate Tax Commission from 1999 until 2019. Dr. Dubin has held positions with the NAHB, U.S.ACIR, and others. Currently, he is treasurer of the board of directors of the Hartwood Foundation. Dr. Dubin holds Ph.D. and M. Phil degrees from CUNY.
