107F Singing for Fun
Eight sessions
Instructors: Gayle Parsons, Linda Harber, Linda Gordon, Sophia Elberti
Thursdays, 2:15–3:40, Sept. 25—Nov. 13
Bring your voice and if you wish, your guitar, ukulele, or other instrument, and join us in singing songs that span the time from the 30s to today. The only singing talent required is a desire to sing. Class members are encouraged to bring in songs they would like the group to sing. We have an enthusiastic keyboard accompanist, an occasional banjo, and a great deal of fun.
Gayle Parsons is retired from a career in tax law. She has been playing keyboard for Singing for Fun classes for about ten years— and is thrilled to still be co-leading this fun class!
Linda Harber joined OLLI in 2018 when she retired as Mason’s VP of HR and Payroll. She is a chair of the OLLI Arts and Music program planning committee and co-president of Friends of Music at Mason. It is a joy to sing with OLLI’s Singing for Fun.
Linda Gordon is retired from a federal career in refugee and immigration statistics and policy. She has sung with Singing for Fun for more than 10 years and is happy to be singing again.
Sophia Elberti retired from federal service in 2021 with a background in strategic communications. She joined OLLI shortly thereafter and became a member of Singing for Fun, which she has thoroughly enjoyed.
