Interested in learning about Aging Matters radio and TV and what's involved in producing a show? Aging Matters features interviews with experts who talk about aging issues of interest to older adults and their families. During this 90 minute presentation, Cheryl Beversdorf, Producer and Host of Aging Matters on Comcast channel 69 and Verizon channel 38 , shares information about selecting program topics, identifying and preparing guests, and preparing for the broadcast. Excerpts from radio programs and TV show episodes are provided along with materials listing all shows and how to access them.
Cheryl Beversdorf is a former not-for-profit association executive, Congressional staff member, public affairs specialist, registered nurse, and Vietnam era veteran with advanced degrees in health science and public communication. Currently, she produces and hosts a weekly radio program (WERA-LP 96.7 FM) at Arlington Independent Media called Aging Matters that features topics of interest to older adults and their families such as testing for COVID-19 and alcohol and drug abuse. Cheryl also produces and hosts a monthly TV version of Aging Matters that includes interviews and demonstrations of how aging-related subjects can benefit older adults' lives such as vertigo and loneliness.
