F652 Winter 2020 Conspiracy Theories and Tin Foil Hats

Why do conspiracy theories exist? Did the Department of Defense cause Lyme disease and can wearing tin foil hats shield you from mind control and mind reading? This class will explore these and many more supposed conspiracies in politics, science, and history. Get your aluminum foil ready. This will be mind-boggling!
Lillian Brooks, JD, practiced juvenile and family law in Atlanta, Georgia, before coming to Virginia in 1984. She then became director of juvenile court services, retiring in 2012. She is currently an OLLI board member and an adjunct professor at George Mason University.
