F409 Summer 2018 The True Mystery of Nancy Drew

Learn all about the history and development of everybody’s favorite girl sleuth. The course will cover the story of the 20th century's most popular girl detective, her originator, and the authors responsible for keeping her alive for nearly 90 years.
Margaret Bercher graduated with a master of library science from Texas Woman's University. She began her career with Fairfax County Public Library (FCPL) as a children's librarian. She is currently responsible for selecting adult fiction for FCPL and is certain that her love of mysteries began when she met her friend, Nancy Drew. 
Catherine Noonan graduated with a master of library science from Drexel University. She is the branch manager at the Martha Washington Branch of FCPL. Reading Nancy Drew mysteries has helped her solve many a puzzling and sometimes mysterious reference question.
