Local author/tour guide Helga Warren will lead a 1.5 hr. walking tour of Old Town Alexandria. Tour highlights: Ramsay, Carlyle, and Spite Houses; Stabler-Leadbetter Apothecary, Gadsby’s Tavern, and Washington’s Townhouse; Lee’s Boyhood Home; Christ Church; Prince Street/Gentry Row/Captain’s Row. After lunch on our own at an eatery of individual choice, we will meet at the Torpedo Factory to learn about its role during WWII and to visit the on-site Archaeology Museum. The bus will leave at 9:00am from the Fairfax Swimming Pool (4200 Roberts Road), Fairfax, VA. Please be on the bus by 8:45am.
