1002E Fall 2026 Tour of the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum

The tour of the two new galleries will be led by curator, Emily Margolis, Ph.D. Destination Moon tells the story of Project Apollo, NASA's first human lunar exploration program. Futures in Space explores how spaceflight has changed from its earliest years and introduces questions about where spaceflight is going. Tour guests are welcome to explore other galleries before or after the tour. Public transit: the closest metro station is L'Enfant Plaza (7 min walk from the Maryland Avenue exit). Driving: parking is available in nearby lots. There is limited metered street parking on Jefferson Drive SW. Please note that admission is free, however timed passes are required. Emily Margolis will reserve passes for the group. Our group will meet ahead of the tour at 12:45 pm in the Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall next to the Lunar Module.
