Six Sessions

Leila Gordon Theatre at Reston Community Center, Hunters Woods 
Sept 24: Beverly Cosham, cabaret singer. Cosham has performed at nightspots all over the country from Los Angeles to New York to San Antonio, as well as in theatres throughout the Washington area. 
Oct. 1: RAYMI RAYMI’s passion for its Andean roots is reflected in its music, which combines traditional Peruvian instruments, such as zampoñas, mosceños, quenas, and tarkas, with contemporary instruments, like drums and guitars.  RAYMI has been in the Washington DC area since 1996 cultivating the Andean music. With musicians from Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and USA, RAYMI has performed at The Blues Alley, The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, Museum of the American Indian, Washington Folk Festival and among others.? 
Oct. 8: Mark Irachai Mark Irchai returns to CenterStage . He is an American concert pianist and conductor, hailed as a “virtuoso... who perform[s] with gorgeous balance” (Wednesday Music Club).? 
Oct. 15: Sopranessence This group will take you on a musical roller-coaster from operatic arias to Broadway show tunes and beloved songs from American culture.  Not a fan of opera?  You don’t have to be!  After seeing one performance, you’ll be laughing, crying and held in suspense by the beautiful voices of these talented Divas  
Oct. 22: The Tallwood Trio Tallwood Trio, Nancy Riley (vocalist), Alan Wenberg (piano), Ron Musselwhite (drums), and guest artists will perform Great American Songbook, light jazz, and contemporary selections 
Oct. 29: Agustin Muriago - Piano Music from Latin America- The program consists of works that combine folk rhythms from across the Americas with sources ranging from classical music to jazz influences. It features composers from Brazil, México, Cuba, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, and Paraguay, and aims to highlight both the variety of Latin American pianistic voices and ways these works engage with tradition while drawing inspiration from multiple other sources.
