Session One: Directing. Study the basics of script analysis. Students will have a chance to direct and/or perform in a short scene.
Session Two: Stage Managing. We’ll explore the role of the stage manager in the collaborative process.
Session Three: Arts and Disability. Discover the intersection between arts and disability.
Session Four: “What Went Wrong”. Take a deep dive into theatre catastrophes through real life anecdotes.
Paul Douglas Michnewicz (PD) is the director of Arts and Culture at the Reston Community Center where he has presented artists such as Mandy Patinkin and Judy Collins. He has directed over 20 world premier plays at the Kennedy Center and is founder of Theater Alliance.
